Linda Farrow Eyewear
AT FASHION WEEKS
The story of Linda Farrow goes back to the 1960s. London based fashion stylist Linda Farrow made the move into accessories during the 60s. Not content with any old accessory, she had her sites set on eyewear design. A pioneer, Linda Farrow features among the very first eyewear designers, following big names like Oliver Goldsmith and Cutler and Gross. Early designs included models for prestigious fashion houses like Balenciaga, Emilio Pucci and Yves Saint-Laurent. In 1970, she launched her own brand: Linda Farrow.
The go-to girl for an enhanced look? To the delight of London’s style icons, a revolution was underway! Linda Farrow was driven by her desire to create unique and fashionable eyewear designs. Her masterstroke was her ability to perfectly align traditional trends with new and innovative eyewear creations. She would quickly become the go-to designer for stars seeking the latest trends.
In the 80s, Linda Farrow left her business behind to devote more time to her family. She would leave behind a stockpile of vintage eyewear. Linda’s son, Simon Jablon chanced upon this famous collection of “new old stocks” in 2003, uncovering more than 2000 vintage frames. He would then make the decision to revive the brand with his partner at the time, Tracy Sedino, who would later become his wife. The Linda Farrow Vintage brand met with notable success at their very first trade fair, receiving a large number of orders in just a few days. Linda Farrow eyewear had rediscovered the path to success…
